For the sixth year running, Ocean Planet will be providing regular updates regarding the location of sardines and associated activity as the Run unfolds along the East Coast of South Africa from late May to early July. Regular satellite images of East Coast sea surface temperatures that influence sardine movements will also be available.

Activity reported in the PSJ, Mazzepa Bay and Wavecrest regions.

KZN.
No reported activity. Warm water temperatures are not conducive to sardine activity.


July 2, 2007, 21:07:46
Port St Johns.
Shark, dolphin and gannet activity reported in this area today. Baitfish also present but sardines unconfirmed.
